As a couple planning your special day at Abernethy Center, you'll be invited to a "Chef's Preview," our delightful food tasting, where you can indulge in a selection of our most popular dishes and meet Abernethy Center's culinary team. This experience lets you savor the flavors and quality of our offerings ahead of your big day, making sure you're entirely confident when selecting your wedding menu.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Imagine the Chefs' Preview as a relaxed date night at Abernethy Center. It's a group tasting where you can mingle with other engaged couples. The beautiful ballroom is adorned with centerpieces from our Preferred Vendor florists. You’ll explore the buffet and pick which items you'd like to sample. Our team provides a short presentation about the menu during dinner, and our Event Specialists and chefs will be on hand to address any questions.

SCHEDULING
We host two to three Chefs’ Previews per year, taking place in the fall and winter. You can expect an electronic invitation from your Event Specialist roughly six weeks before the event. Since space is limited, we recommend RSVPing promptly. If you're preparing for your wedding at Abernethy Center and want to know the dates for our next tasting, please reach out to your Event Specialist for more information.

CHEF'S PREVIEW FAQS
Do I have to pay?
There is no fee to attend. We are thrilled to offer the Chefs Preview free of charge to couples who’ve booked a wedding date at Abernethy Center.
How many people can I bring with me to the tasting?
We can accommodate up to two people per invitation for the Chefs’ Preview, as space is limited. We kindly request that you refrain from bringing additional guests to ensure that all attendees have the best experience.
Can I purchase additional tickets?
Unfortunately, no. Since space is limited, this is an exclusive event, but you can have any two people attend on your behalf, such as parents if you live out of town and are unable to travel.
Can I taste everything on the menu?
During the tasting, you'll have the opportunity to sample a selection of our most popular dishes from the wedding dining menu. While you won't be able to taste every item on the menu, this will give you representative experience of our offerings to help you make informed menu selections for your wedding.
Does the tasting accommodate dietary guidelines like gluten-free or vegetarian?
Yes, our tasting is designed to accommodate dietary restrictions, including options for gluten-free and vegetarian preferences. Your satisfaction is our priority, and we want to ensure that you have a wonderful culinary experience that aligns with your dietary needs.
What if I’m not available on the date?
If you’re invited to a Chefs’ Preview and unable to make the date, please contact your Event Specialist to ask about future Chefs’ Preview dates you may be able to attend.
Can I attend more than one Chefs' Preview?
Due to limited capacity, we can only offer one tasting session per couple.
