Chapel Groundbreaking Ceremony
Thank you to everyone who joined us this past Monday, July 18th as we broke ground on the Abernethy Chapel.
As our team donned our Abernethy Center hard hats, guests enjoyed pastries and coffee while they took a closer look at the chapel model.

Our owners, Mark & Patti Foley and Dan & Patty Fowler took the microphone to express how excited they are to break ground on this project before our staff joined together to dig the golden shovels into the dirt.

The Abernethy Chapel will be a classic white ceremony chapel tucked within a grove of trees, with a working, 65 foot bell tower, dedicated bridal and groom's suites, and the capacity to hold 220 guests for ceremonies. The lower floor of the chapel will have an intimate reception space for parties of 70 guests or less. Larger parties will enjoy the convenience of our ballroom across the street.

The interior of the chapel will be the perfect marriage (ha, ha) of classic design with modern features. I am particularly thrilled about the exposed wooden beams that stretch across the chapel ceiling, as well as the mezzanine, which will be the ideal spot for videographers and photographers to capture a unique angle.

The chapel is slated for completion in early Spring 2012.There will be more events, including a ribbon cutting ceremony once we reach completion. Be sure to follow our blog, as I will keep it updated with our process and as more design details are established.
I also want to give a huge thank you to Eric and Tami from Holland Studios who joined us for the groundbreaking and captured the amazing photos you see above!
